Art-Partners was the curator and manager for this project, bringing in Jim Lambie to mastermind a pioneering piece for our partner, Pacific Place. Art-Partners also ensured that the project was executed efficiently to a high standard.
Spiral Scratch was Scottish artist Jim Lambie’s largest and most ambitious floor installation to date. Located in Pacific Place’s Garden Court, the site-specific work brought together editions of two signature works, The Strokes and Shaved Ice, for the first time, juxtaposing an intricate, rhythmic floor sculpture with the installation of 15 ladders painted in vivid hues and anchored in an overlapping formation throughout the space. This project was a dazzling distillation of the artist’s energy that transfigured Pacific Place with an engaging and hypnotising sensory dimension.
