Art-Partners gladly organized the "Swire Properties Dialogue Series" at Art Basel 2024. This year, the Swire Properties VIP lounge 'HORIZON', a simple and elegant structural form created by the evocative interplay between a dramatic reflective canopy representing the sky and the landscape below, was designed by renowned design studio Snøhetta with a commitment to the best sustainable practices.
Art-Partners invited distinguished speakers, including First Nations Australian artist Daniel Boyd, who created the scale installation Doan at Pacific Place as the only offsite project of Art Basel Hong Kong's Encounters sector; internationally acclaimed Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos, whose site-specific installation Enchanted Forest at ArtisTree and Valkyrie Seondeok at Two Taikoo Place, marked her debut exhibition in Hong Kong, as well as remarkable speakers and moderators such as Suhanya Raffel (Museum Director of M+ Museum Hong Kong), Tim Reeve (Deputy Director and COO of V&A Museum in London), Jessica Zhang (Director, Today Art Museum), Rahul Jacob (FT Weekend contributor) and Tracy Zhang (Publisher at FT Chinese), among others. Artist Party
Art-Partners was proud to be the project manager of the Swire Artist Party 2024, which was co-organised by Swire Properties and the Victoria & Albert Museum. For the first time, the Swire Artist Party was hosted adjacent to the artwork installations at Two Taikoo Places. Special thanks to our partners, the event had a fantastic turnout, with 847 guests attending on the evening of March 27.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by the impressive Antony Gormley's Shelf II sculpture—a permanent installation that Art-Partners was instrumental in bringing to life. After enjoying the delectable food and drinks prepared by Ask for Alonzo, the attendees made their way to The Double by 1880, the venue for the main event.
The space was transformed into an expansive dance floor, over which Joana Vasconcelos's Valkyrie Seondeok was suspended. In the evening, starry lights illuminated the hand-crafted details. The neon lights in Taikoo Place guided guests to discover Vasconcelos's immersive installation Valkyrie.
